Frost Descent (Shuangjiang) arrives when the first frost appears on rooftops before sunrise, vanishing as soon as the sun climbs. Trees are nearly bare. In old Beijing, this was the season for hand warmers — small copper vessels tucked into sleeves. Winter is at the door, but the fire is lit and the tea is hot.

A CANDLE OF TWO LAYERS
Frost Descent is poured in two layers: cream-white wax below, a whisper of grey above. The dividing line is the frost line — the moment autumn tips into winter. It's the only candle in the collection made this way.

Deep grey frosted glass with a matte, ice-like surface that feels like frost under your fingers.

WHY SOY + COCONUT?
Our 80/20 soy-coconut wax blend burns up to 50% longer than paraffin and produces no harmful soot. Coconut wax helps the scent throw farther, melt more evenly, and finish with a smooth, creamy top. Both waxes are plant-based and biodegradable — no paraffin, no petroleum.

SAFETY
Burn within sight. Keep away from flammable objects, children, and pets. Trim wick to 5mm before each burn. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
